I am an IT professional actively pursuing roles in cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and/or cloud security. I currently work as a Customer Service Technician for DMV while simultaneously building hands-on AWS and Linux skills through personal projects outside of employment. I am the holder of the CompTIA Security+ certification and committed to a career in cybersecurity and cloud technology. I am also currently studying for the AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to validate my skillset.

I have experience in technical support, systems troubleshooting, and customer-facing technology software while on the job. Nonetheless in my spare time, I am taking the initiative to learn new technologies such as AWS EC2 for Linux administration, GitHub for code, and AWS S3, CloudFront, and CodePipeline for CI/CD pipelines — all in preparation for certification and joining a dedicated cloud engineering or cybersecurity role.

Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)

Provide technical and customer service support in a high-volume government office. Assist the general public with driver's licenses and IDs, titling and registering vehicles, and processing other DMV transactions in the DMVSelect software.

Norfolk Public Schools

Team-collaboration with district-level staff to provide onsite technical support, ensuring smooth network operations for schools and administration. Ensuring a main focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure maintenance, and end-user support across hardware and software platforms for staff and students. Use of SolarWinds to respond, resolve, and/or escalate incoming incidents.

Built and deployed a Linux EC2 instance on AWS with a set of bash scripts covering four core systems administrative functions:

Interests

Although technology plays a significant role in my life, I've found even more fulfillment in creative pursuits outside of my career. Art has become a huge passion — I love drawing portraits, painting canvases, and photography, and have entered a few competitions along the way. When I'm not creating, I'm generally reading or writing in my journal.

I'm obsessed with beauty and style, so I always keep up with the latest makeup and hair trends. Spending quality time with family and friends is important to me so I try to always make time for loved ones.
